The object of this invention is to provide an adjustable bearing for the use of watch-makers, dentists, and others, to facilitate filing and finishing small articles.

A cylindrical or round filing-block having peripheral longitudinal groove-bearings of varied sectional contour, in combination with an elastic bearing.
