Description:
Designed to be an inexpensive pocket rule that can be configured to be used as a square due to an additional hinge. Rule is drawing is shown as a 12", two fold rule with a additional hinge on one arm. Known examples are 24" two fold rule with a secondary hinge 4" from the center hinge. The center hinge has 180 degree angle markings in 5 degree increments and there are additional angle hash marks on one of the rule arms. The patent describes a locking mechanism or clip but that feature does not appear to be utilized on the production rule examples.
