Description:
The handle end turns an internal screw to adjust the socket wrench portion. The long shaft is hollow, with internal thread or smooth interior, and sized to slip over the threaded end of the axle. The wheel slides off the axle hub onto this shaft, to expose the axle hub for lubrication.

Known example in original box with paper label marked "THE SPARTAN" COMBINATION CARRIAGE JACK AND WRENCH; it may incorporate alterations covered in patent no. 451,686.
