Vintage Machinery entry for Berlin Machine Works
Description:
"My invention relates to that class of machines used for polishing wood in which a series of cylinders covered with sand-paper are employed and are rotated rapidly, a small part of their periphery being exposed between guard-plates in such manner as to act upon the surface of a board while passing along the top of the frame and over the said cylinders."
