Description:
The adjustment means is a wedge key acting on rack teeth on the shank of the movable jaw. The wedge key is attached to a side lever which is pulled into its socket by a leaf tension spring.

The shape of the jaw is not included in the patent; the drawings show pipe gripping teeth.
