Vintage Machinery entry for General Electric Co.
Description:
"My invention relates to an improved construction of the armature, which I provide with a surrounding soft-iron jacket. This jacket not only serves as a means for attaching the armature to its shafts by a pair of heads or spiders, but it also serves to produce a uniformity in the magnetic flux that passes through the armature."

The only mentions of the assignee that we can find are in relation to this patent. Since we have seen this patent date on a GE induction motor and this is the only electric-motor patent issued on this date, we assume that GE bought out the assignee before they had a chance to begin manufacturing the motor.
