"Vintage Machinery" entry for New England Manufacturing Works & Co.
Description:
In 1868, Bishop & Fairchild incorporated as the New England Manufacturing Works & Co., which seems to have disappeared within a year or so. Thus far we have no reports of a surviving example of this drill, although an 1866 newspaper article mentions that it was being made by Bishop & Fairchild.
