Description:
A multi-part combination tool that includes nut and pipe capability and a hammer and screwdriver. Johnston's prior patent (no. 530,109) is noted. The core function is removal of an axle nut and holding the wheel upright while the axle journal is cleaned and lubricated.

The patent describes several alternate forms and optional features.

Johnston's July 19, 1898 patent (no. 607,439) is a subsequent version. An example conforming to that patent and incorporating the hammer from this patent, marked "20th CENTURY PAT. MAR. 22, 1898," sold on the 2018 mid-summer mjdtools auction.
