Vintage Machinery entry for Hisey-Wolf Machine Co.
Description:
This "portable electrically driven grinding machine" could be hand-held but it was primarily intended for use as an attachment to lathes, planers, milling, machines, etc., for grinding operations. The direct-drive DC motor revolved at about 4500 RPM according to the March 1903 American Engineer and Railroad Journal.
