Description:
Most of the patents prior to 1836 were lost in the Dec. 1836 fire. Only about 2000 of the almost 10000 documents were recovered. This patent is one of them.

A lovely surviving example of these scissors was reported to us in 2010. They were made by "R. HEINISCH INVENTOR NEWARK, N.J." The scissors are 13 inches long
