Description: |
| Chain pipe wrench with paired "V" shaped jaw surfaces that pivot on the handle. The chain attaches to the handle and latches in notches in one "arm" of the "V". The patent describes a side latch which adjusts the maximum pressure exerted by the chain.
A 1905 hardware trade journal description of the wrench includes a drawing which does not show the side latch. It matches Canadian patent CA-98,249 granted March 27, 1906.
