Description:
Quick adjust sliding jaw wrench, with knurled screw for fine adjustment, and alternate adjustment means. The threads on the adjustment screw also serve as the teeth engaging the threads cut in the main bar. An April, 1857 "Saint Louis Agricultural Works" catalog lists the Hotchkiss' Patent Self-Adjusting Wrench with or without the screw.
