Description:
The core idea in the patent is the opposing spring action of the side tabs of the slide, which along with "dents" in the side wires and "clicks" on the slide adjusts the size of the slice. The tool includes a corer and peeler in the handle.

The CLIMAX example pictured includes a "crinkle" slicer, and the corer and peeler were a separate piece which slid into the handle. The CLIMAX bears the patent reissue date June 1, 1909 (RE12,965).
