An online history of the Potlatch Lumber Co. - which became forestry gian Weyerhauser - says that in 1904-1906 the largest white pine mill in the world was constructed in Potlatch, ID, and W. A. Wilkinson of Minnesota was in charge of the design, plans, and construction.

A search of the "Making of America" archive did not produce any information on inventor Wilkinson.
