Description: |
The roller binds between a flat and the interior of a tubular element. Alternate constructions are shown and described to allow for reversing the direction of "drive." The patent claims the roller, two "flats" allowing for drive in two directions, and a ring structure to shift the roller from one drive direction to the other.
Packer's parallel patent no. 1,087,316 claims a totally different means to attain in-line "ratchet" drive.
Although described in terms of operation as a "ratchet" driver for wrenches or other similar tool, the patent does not limit itself to those applications. |
