Description:
Slip-joint pliers / tongs type body with jaw extensions on one side that form corners of a "socket." The patent is for the form of the slip joint size adjustment.

An October 1903 AMERICAN BLACKSMITH item shows a sample configured as an axle nut wrench but it is not clear if Hamilton produced them for sale, or only made a prototype.
