Description:
This unusual machine has a circular sawblade with all but the rim removed. The saw is meant to be used for curved cuts, rather like a bandsaw. The advantage over a bandsaw is that blade does not need to flex as it rotates; at the time of the patent, bandsaw blades were prone to breakage due to metal fatigue.
