Claim: In a multicylinder steam engine, in combination, a high-pressure cylinder and a low-pressure cylinder having admission and exhaust ports, valves for controlling the steam events in said cylinders, and an open auxiliary steam line between said high-pressure cylinder and said low-pressure cylinder.
