| Conventional handsaw handle with incorporated thumb rest for the right hand. Mr. Smith acknowledges that a patent has been proposed for a handle with a recess for the thumb "thumbhole saw?" but that it weakens the handle whereas his design has the thumbrest proud of the handle so there is no loss in strength. |
