Description: |
"S" hooks on spring steel strip hook to carriage axle spokes. The center of the the strip holds a solid or adjustable jaw wrench for the axle nut. Based on the "Abridged Specification" this corresponds to Canadian patent CA-32581 which in turn incorporates features from U.S. patents 390,731, 420,981, and 426,224 granted to Frederick A. Wegner of Three Rivers, Michigan. W. W. Leggett & Co. has not been identified.
In keeping with British patent options of the period, the patent is listed in the name of a British patent agent.
