Description:
The July 1913 issue of The Canadian Manufacturer, page 65: "Automatic Planer Stop.—The Usher Automatic Stop Co., Chicopee Falls, Mass., illustrate very effectively the action of the Usher Automatic Stop for planers and other machine tools in a booklet issued by the company. A full description of its action is also given.

Co-assignee Frank D. Howard was secretary of the Lamb Knitting Machinery Co., and would become the company president within a few years. Usher was superintendent of that firm and was its chief designer as well.
