Vintage Machinery entry for Wm. M. Hawes & Co. (Hawes Machine Co.)
Description:
The 1880-02-07 issue of "The Machinists" has the following item in a longer note about Fall River, Mass.: "Hawes Machine Co. have several men continually employed manufacturing Mock's Pat. Automatic Mule Cleaner, for which there is an active demand in our mills. These cleaners not only clean the beam and carriage, but save stopping to blow off. More yarn per week, and cleaner yarn, is the result."
