Patented number has been seen on a Craftsman four-jaw chuck. A catalog from Watson Mfg. Co., hand-dated "July 1932", describes the patent-pending "Watson Junior Lathe Chuck", available in diameters of 3 inch ($3.50), 4 inch ($4.50), 5 inch ($6.50) and 6 inch ($8.00). The last two sizes were hand-written. An ad in the July 1931 features 3-inch and 4-inch four-jaw chucks from Watson Mfg. Co., priced at $3.50 and $4.50, respectively.
