Stan Schulz Canadian patent no. 45,527 in FLICKR Patent CA45,527 [Espacenet] HARRIS COMBINATION WRENCH (1894 ad -- FLICKR)
 |
|
        Description: |
| Adjustable pocket wrench, oil can, tire pump, and fold-out screwdriver in a solid frame.
The tool does not have a comparable U.S. utility patent; it did receive U.S. design patent no. D27,659 on Sept. 21, 1897.
Ken Cope's "American Wrench Makers 1830-1930" notes the tool was marketed as the HARRIS COMBINATION WRENCH. An 1894 listing gives the manufacturer as the HARRIS Mfg. Co. of Buffalo; in 1896 it was marketed by the BICYCLE WRENCH MANUFACTURING CO. of New York City. |
