Description: |
| The specification and claims deal with details of headstall design, construction of metal parts, and "leather lining." Swender's ads for "Climax Weaner" from late 1917 use similar language to terms in the specifications, which suggest the patent is related to the weaners in those ads. Swender's 1916-early 1917 ads for "humane weaner" show a device similar in appearance to a C.H. Patterson Canadian patent ( CA-191,908).
The appearance of cryptic "Swender weaner" directory listings, and absence of catalog listings or advertising images suggest further research is advisable. (See also patents 836,413, 836,949, 869,108 and 896,598). |
