Description: |
| Entry based on "Abridgments of Specifications." Combination quick and screw adjustment; advertised as the "Grappler." Ron Geesin's entry for W.A. Lloyd & Co. shows an example, and it is illustrated in a March 1895 item in THE IRONMONGER.
Note: Early British patents (pre 1916) were numbered by the year and started at patent #1 at the start of each year in January. The standard patent # convention for these uses the year of registration and the patent #, with "leading zeros" interposed to make the number total nine digits. This patent is #19,618 of the year 1891. |
