Description: |
| The inventor was president of Globe Tool & Engineering, who were not explicitly assigned this patent. But they used this and patent 2,627,379 to sue Ram Tool Corp. and Possis Machine Corp. Ram Tool Corp., makers of bench grinders and handheld power tools, used motor winders supplied by Possis. The court ultimately invalidated both patents, citing as prior art patents 709,179, 1,048,205, 1,375,745, 2,326,184, 2,348,948, and 2,670,145. Globe appealed, but the decision was upheld. |
