Description: |
| Blade cutout ("furcated opening") that allows the blade to be set at different angles and naturally locks at a right angle. Blade is secured in position by use of a lock nut but it is claimed that it is only needed to lock the blade at an angle other than 90 degrees.
Known example marked: "HOULE TRY SQUARE/& BEVEL/PAT'D DEC. 11, 1894" on the blade. |
