Description: |
| This early design for a miter trimmer lacked any sort of mechanical advantage in pushing the blade through the material. The inventor came up with an improved design that was much more successful; see patent 12,956. Note the witness with surname Jelliff: John Jelliff & Co., of Newark, was the "leading furniture manufacturer in New Jersey". |
