| Description: | | The mechanism is a hybrid combination of tongs and sliding jaw. A sliding block is the pivot point for a lever with the movable jaw, and also has a flat jaw surface. The sliding block has interior teeth which can be engaged with rack teeth on the shank, and fixed in place by a thumb screw. The whole sliding block and lever structure can be slid off the shank to allow the fixed jaw and shank to serve as a hammer. | |
