Vintage Machinery entry for St. Anselme Foundry Ltd.
Description:
The Toronto Public Library has a listing for a catalog from St. Anselme Foundry for "The famous 'Begin grinder'", dated 1929. In a search from 1900 to 1930 this is the only grinder patent to someone named Begin.

We found a for-sale listing of a 24-page catalog from St. Anselme Foundry Limited that features only this grinder. The front cover lists this patent number, "Also Patented in U.S.A.", though we have found no such US patent.

From 1931 "House of Commons Debates, Official Report, Volume 3", page 2659: "And now the St. Anselme foundry is flourishing under the able management of Mr. J. A. Begin, who has invented a grinder known as the Begin grinder, which..." This confirms that the "Adelard Bégin" listed as the inventor on this patent is actually Joseph Adelard Bégin.
