Abstract:
This invention relates to an improved mechanism for raising and lowering the tool-post of o a lathe, said mechanism being so constructed that the tool can be raised and lowered conveniently while it is in operation.
Claim:
The combination of the socketed stand B with the tool-post A, connected with each other to prevent rotation of the post, the bevel-wheel C, having the screw-threaded hub d engaging the internal screw-threads b of the tool-post, with the vertical bevel-pinion D, and its horizontal operating-shaft E. |
