Abstract: 
A certain improvement or certain improvements in the combination and arrangement of machinery or apparatus, whereby certain well-known agents may be employed in producing power, and in the mode of effecting the same, applicable to various useful purposes. 
"Lemuel Willman Wright (No. 6,525), in 1833, took out a patent in which inflammable gases and air are made to explode, in a close globular vessel, and work the piston of an engine like a steam-engine, the piston being lubricated, by water escaping round its periphery, and the cylinder being furnished with a water-jacket."
