Description: |
| Abstract:
In a blower for smiths' forges &c. of the type in which the casing for the impeller comprises two halves 5, 6 of flattened pear-shaped contour, the impeller 13 is mounted eccentrically so that the clearance between the impeller and the casing at one side of the outlet is reduced. The interior of the casing may be shaped as shown by the dotted line 7. The impeller is driven by a handle 20 and gearing 14 enclosed in a casing 9, which may be secured in different positions relative to the casing 5, 6.
Claim:
A blower for use in connection with smith’s forges and the like comprising a two part casing having the pear shaped contour hereinbefore referred to, one part or half of the said casing having therein an eccentrically disposed air inlet opening, a rotor mounted on a spindle co-axial with the said eccentrically disposed air inlet opening and motion transmission gearing arranged in a casing connected to the rotor casing said gearing comprising a train of toothed wheels mounted and meshing. |
