Jeff Joslin Sean McConnell article on this drill (PDF)
|
Description: |
Examples of this drill are found around the world, from New Zealand to France to Canada. The actual manufacturer is unknown, though New Zealand researcher Sean McConnell reports seeing the drill in a 1930 catalog from Manufacture Française D'Armes Et Cycles De Saint-Étienne, a manufacturer and distributor of tools among many other items. Examples of this drill are variously marked "CC", "La Contal / Pte S.G.D.G. France et Etranger", the latter part meaning "Patented Without Guarantee of Government, France and Abroad". S.G.D.G. was a type of patent issued in France until 1968. |
