Many later mentions of this patent will describe it as being for a pneumatic rivet hammer, although the patent never mentions its use in riveting or as any kind of hammer.The inventor had exhibited this invention, as the "Pneumatic Calking Tool", at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, where it won a special diploma and a bronze medal. |
