Description:
The form of wire cutter in this patent employs an "anvil" type surface associated with the "fixed" flat jaw of the 1942 patent type VISE-GRIP(tm) [viz 2,280,005].

The specifications cite "prior art:" 304,089, 1,077,672, 1,116,093, 1,276,256, 1,489,458, 1,541,248, 1,568,934, 2,368,906, and German patent DE-323,923.

The wire cutter introduced by Petersen Mfg. Co. in 1947 was only supplied with "curved nose" models corresponding to patent 2,563,267.
