Description:
This tire setter seems to be a cold tire setter but the specification does not mention whether the tire is hot or cold. It is, however, explicit that it is to be used with the tire on the wheel and even still mounted to its axle, which makes it a setter and not a shrinker. At the time this patent was issued, the terminology of setter being on the wheel and shrinker being off the wheel was not yet standardized.
