Description: |
| "The improved construction of wrench or spanner consisting of two shanks carrying the jaws, one havinga mortice and the other a tenon throughout the whole or a portion of their length, so that they can be dovetailed together, a long slot in one shank and a short slot in the other shank, a screw rod inserted in the hole of one shank, a nut encircling such screw rod and situate in the slots of each shank, which nut when operated, moves the shanks lengthwise with each other, substantially as set forth."
