| This patent is a division of my prior application, Serial No. 163,319, filed June 27,1903.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to machine- tools, and more particularly to boring and turning mills, and has for its object to provide boring-bar which may be raised or lowered into adjusted position by hydraulic means and, further, to provide a toolhead which may be readily adjusted rotarily upon the bar and also caused to move longitudinally thereof by the same hydraulic means used in adjusting the bar.
Claim:
In a boring and turning mill, the combination of a cylindrical boring-bar, a sleeve feathered thereto for longitudinal movement, an adjustable tool-supporting shell journaled upon said sleeve, and means to move said shell about said sleeve and hold it in adjusted position. |
