Description:
This patent is sometimes credited as the first pneumatic drill, or pneumatic jackhammer, but it was preceded by numerous others, e.g., patent 6,237. Instead, this invention provides a much-improved tripod for supporting and directing the drill, and became recognized as a significant improvement in rock drills.
