Description: |
| A hinged portion allows the knobbed ends to insert in the calf's nostrils. The spurs would irritate the cow, and after a short interval, the calf would be weaned. Compare Tilton's 1875 patent 164,665 which has an "elastic" (i.e. rubber) body.
An 1878 ad notes two sizes, but does not identify the maker. |
