Schumacher v. Cornell
Description:
The reissue divides the bushing and wrench in the orginal patent. This patent describes the bushing wrench; the "V" spur engages a notch in the rim of the bushing, and the slot allows for a range of sizes of supporting cores corresponding to the size of the bushing.

The patent was subject of a lawsuit (Schumacher v. Cornell) that was taken to the U.S. Supreme Court. Cornell also brought suit challenging the Littlejohn patents (nos. 138,568 and 145,807.

Reissue patent no. RE5,027 describes the bushing.
