This patent is the basis for the Starrett #'s 1, 233X & 235 Adjustable Jaw Cut Nippers. The 235 series are the same as the # 1 series except that the jaws are adjusted for a 1/4" opening at the factory. The #1 series was "announced to the trade" in November, 1893. Some early models of this pliers had this patent date and 14 Nov 1899 (Patent #637,177) stamped on the pliers. |
