Description: |
Most of the patents prior to 1836 were lost in the Dec. 1836 fire. Only about 2,000 of the almost 10,000 documents were recovered. Little is known about this patent. There are no patent drawings available. This patent is in the database for reference only.
For an improvement in the Gun Lock; J. B. Gray, Fredericksburg, Spottsylvania county, Virginia, October 7, 1834.
"The claim made in this specification is to the arrangement of the rod, and of the spring, and the adjustment of the notch to the spring placed beneath it. We are not told in what particular this lock is supposed to excel those in use, nor are we able to discover it, The description given is very far from clear, but the drawing which accompanies it is well executed."
