        Description: |
|
This is a fairly typical marking gage wth two very unusual
features. First, in order to reduce the tendancy of the arm to
rotate when used, the bar is made oval in cross section and rides
in an oval hole. Secondly, to prevent ear and use from defacing
the scale, the scales were marked in a recessed area of the bar.
Neither of these seems like huge problems in use, and the difficulty
in producing these features would probably make this particular tool
	 not very cost effective.
