 Pearson's Improved Nailer - 1910 (FLICKR)

| Description: | | Improvement of Pearson's earlier patent (467,864 granted Jan. 26, 1892) to adapt the previous invention for handling and driving nails. Known examples have PEARSON'S NAILER and the two Jan. patent dates cast into the handles.
Produced as a nailer for wire nails used in applying shingles and metal roofing trim in two sizes: "BLUE" to fit "3D common 14 ga. wire nails", and "RED" to fit "3D No. 13 galvanized 1 1/4 inch wire nails."
The interior of the hopper is shaped to direct nails to roll, and drop "pointed end down" into the feed chute. | |
