        Description: |
| Adjustable jaw design for pipe wrenches, marked 'TRIMO PAT 1889-97'. It evolved from design patent no. D19,168.
The jaw design can appear on wrenches with handles and frames based on more recent patents. For example, the 6 inch wood handle example shown in the second photo in this entry has a frame corresponding to the May 27, 1890 patent (no. 429,088), but also incorporating the nut guard feature first patented on Dec. 19, 1911 (no. 1,012,036). |
