Description: |
A base plate with holes in its periphery can be turned to several angles in relation to the handle, and held by a spring bolt engaging one of the holes. The base plate holds an adjustable wrench. The size adjustment is made by a knurled screw engaging a rack.
A couple of variations on the "rocking frame" portion of the wrench have been found in known examples. They have no visible markings.
The specifications contrast this deign with George Meader's Jan. 17, 1865 patent no. 45931. |
