| The screw-adjusting movable jaw element that is the subject of this patent is a modification of the movable jaw element described in H.N. Smade's August 29, 1871 pipe wrench patent (no. 118559). The curved jaw face is attached to the screw-adjusting base by a pivot pin which allows the face to fit to different sizes of pipe. |
